Profile: Complete Urine Analysis (CUE). Tests: 17 parameters. Price: From 290. Fasting: Not required. Sample: Urine. Reports: 24 hours, digital. Home collection: Available across Greater Noida. Lab: NABL-accredited. Urine is the one sample that suffers from being carried. The Complete Urine Analysis (CUE) examines urine by appearance, chemical dipstick and microscope and reports 17 parameters. It needs no fasting. But a sample that sits in a bag or a bike basket on a long journey across a spread-out city deteriorates, and that is the strongest reason to have it collected at home. It is also in every full body package, starting with the Basic Full Body Checkup (77 parameters), and a package costs less than booking several panels separately. ## Why Time and Distance Matter for a Urine Sample Left at room temperature for a few hours, urine changes: bacteria multiply, cells and casts break down, and pH shifts. A sample carried from Gaur City or Greater Noida West to a distant collection point can therefore read differently from the one you gave, with false Nitrites, fewer recognisable cells and an altered Reaction (pH). Labs ask for fresh samples for this reason. When a phlebotomist collects at home, in Alpha 2, Beta 1, Delta 3, Knowledge Park 2, Pari Chowk or Techzone 4, the sample goes into transport promptly and keeps its integrity. Home visits are available and any charge shows in the booking flow. ## How to Collect a Midstream Clean-Catch Sample Wash your hands and clean the genital area. Begin urinating into the toilet, skip the first few seconds, then fill the sterile container to its marked line from the middle of the stream, finishing in the toilet. Cap it without touching the inside. The first portion carries skin cells and bacteria, so discarding it is what keeps the report clean; many U.Epithelial Cells on a result usually mean contamination. Mention menstruation if relevant. A first-morning sample is the most concentrated and is usually preferred. ## The 17 Parameters Colour and Appearance are physical. Glucose, Protein, Bilirubin (Bile), Ketone Bodies, Specific gravity, Blood, Reaction (pH), Nitrites and Leukocytes are dipstick chemistry. PUS(WBC) Cells, Red Blood Cells, U.Epithelial Cells, Casts, Crystals and Others are read under the microscope. They screen for urinary infection, kidney and bladder irritation, sugar and ketones in urine, bile pigment and hydration. ## Reading the Report Glucose in urine does not diagnose diabetes. Blood glucose and HbA1c do (American Diabetes Association, Standards of Care in Diabetes, 2024), and diabetes affects around 101 million Indian adults (ICMR-INDIAB, 2023). Nitrites with Leukocytes and PUS(WBC) Cells indicate infection but cannot name the organism; a urine culture does. Protein or Blood usually calls for a repeat sample and a doctor's review. ## For Students and Families Hostel residents and families with a young child or an older parent often find a clinic visit disproportionate for a simple urine test. A home sample removes the trip. For a child, a doctor may ask for a collection bag rather than a midstream catch; tell the phlebotomist at booking. ## Symptoms That Make This Test Worth Booking Burning or frequent urination, urgency, lower abdominal discomfort, blood-stained or foul-smelling urine, flank pain and swelling of the feet or face are the usual reasons. If you have fever and a urinary symptom together, do not wait for a convenient trip into the city; book the home sample and let the report reach you digitally in 24 hours for your doctor to review. ## What This Profile Cannot Do This is a dipstick and microscopy examination. It detects overt proteinuria but not microalbuminuria, the earliest sign of diabetic kidney damage; that requires a separate urine microalbumin or ACR test. A normal CUE does not exclude kidney disease, because kidney function is measured in blood by the Kidney Function Test (KFT). ## What Is Not Included No urine culture and sensitivity, no urine microalbumin or ACR, no 24-hour urine protein, no pregnancy test, no drug screen and no blood tests. Kidney Function Test (KFT) and Liver Function Test (LFT) are separate profiles, found with this one in every full body package. ## Sources American Diabetes Association, Standards of Care in Diabetes, 2024 · Anjana RM, Mohan V, et al.
