Two women in the same Delhi house often need this panel for different reasons: a daughter in her late twenties whose cycles have become unpredictable, and her mother, who has been tired for a year and has never had her thyroid or haemoglobin checked. Both are answered in one draw. Nineteen components, 96 parameters: Prolactin, IHC- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinising Hormone — the first-line panel for irregular cycles, suspected PCOS and fertility workup — plus CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker and Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA), over CBC with ESR, Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination read by a pathologist, Liver and Kidney Function, a 9-marker Lipid Profile, Complete Urine Analysis, Fasting Glucose, HbA1c, Thyroid Profile, Iron Studies, Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy), Vitamin B12, RA Factor and CRP. FSH and LH are judged against your cycle day, so tell the phlebotomist which day you are on. CA125 and CEA are screening aids, not verdicts: both rise in non-cancerous conditions, and a normal value does not exclude cancer. Processed at a NABL-accredited laboratory. From 1999. Free home collection across Delhi — Lajpat Nagar, Defence Colony, Greater Kailash, Saket, Malviya Nagar, Kalkaji, Hauz Khas and Vasant Kunj.

What Does This Package Screen For?

At a Glance

Package: Advanced Full Body Checkup for Women. Tests: 96 parameters, 19 components. Price: From 1999. Fasting: 10 hours. Sample: Blood and urine, single draw. Reports: 24 hours, digital. Home collection: Free across Delhi. Lab: NABL-accredited. Most women book this for one question — cycles, weight or fertility, which Prolactin, IHC- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinising Hormone address — and leave with answers on anaemia, thyroid and vitamins too. It is the 14-component Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor plus those three hormones, Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) and CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker. The tier above, the Comprehensive Health Checkup for Women, adds exactly three pancreatic tests and nothing else. The CRP here is qualitative — positive or negative, no figure; for a CRP value you can follow over time, the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports it quantitatively in mg/L and costs less. ## FSH, LH and Prolactin These three are the first-line panel for irregular periods, suspected PCOS and a fertility workup. FSH and LH are pituitary hormones driving the ovarian cycle: the FSH/LH ratio forms part of a PCOS assessment, LH often high relative to FSH, while a persistently high FSH points to declining ovarian reserve or the menopausal transition. Raised prolactin suppresses ovulation and is a common — and treatable — cause of irregular or absent periods. Cycle day governs interpretation. FSH and LH are drawn on day 2 to 5 — day 1 being the first day of bleeding — because the reference ranges are early-follicular, and a mid-cycle sample can show a normal LH surge that reads high against them, so tell the collection team your cycle day. A mildly high prolactin is repeated when rested. ## What CA125 and CEA can and cannot tell you Both are tumour markers — screening aids a doctor reads alongside symptoms, examination and imaging. A raised value has many non-cancerous causes; a normal one does not exclude cancer. CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker rises in endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, pregnancy and ordinary menstruation — all far commoner than ovarian cancer before 50, and the usual explanation for a raised value in a younger woman. Many early ovarian cancers never raise it, so a normal number is not reassurance: persistent bloating, pelvic pain or early satiety needs a gynaecologist and a pelvic ultrasound whatever the report says. Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) follows colorectal cancer already diagnosed rather than finding it; smokers carry higher baselines, and it rises in inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis and cirrhosis. A normal CEA does not exclude bowel cancer — colonoscopy screens for that, and it is not here. ## Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination A qualified pathologist spreads a slide, reads it under a microscope and reports Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Platelets, Hemoparasites and a written Impression. It matters most for women: over 50% of Indian women aged 15–49 are anaemic (NFHS-5, 2019–21), and a CBC only says haemoglobin is low. The slide says why: small pale cells mean iron deficiency, large cells B12 or folate deficiency, sickle-shaped cells sickle cell disease. The pathologist also catches blast cells signalling possible leukaemia, clumped platelets an analyser reports as dangerously low, and, under Hemoparasites, malarial parasites inside red cells; malaria and dengue return to Delhi NCR every monsoon. Being pathologist time, it is the component most often missing at this price. ## Booking this in Delhi In Delhi households where two or three generations share an address, this gets booked for a daughter asking about her cycles and her mother asking why she is always tired — one panel, one visit, two reports. ## The Other 13 Components CBC with ESR (21): Anaemia, infection, inflammation. Iron Studies (5): Separates iron deficiency from chronic-disease anaemia; thalassemia trait needs Hb electrophoresis or HPLC. Thyroid Profile (3): Indian women are hypothyroid three times as often as men, 15.86% vs 5.02% (Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013), which itself disturbs cycles. Liver Function (12): SGOT/SGPT and GGT detect fatty liver; NAFLD affects 30–40% of urban Indian adults (Duseja et al., Indian J Gastroenterol, 2022). Kidney Function (12): Creatinine, GFR and uric acid. Lipid Profile (9): Non-HDL cholesterol predicts risk better than LDL alone (AHA/ACC, 2018). Complete Urine Analysis (17): Proteinuria, glycosuria, infection — not microalbuminuria, which needs a separate microalbumin/ACR test. Blood Glucose Fasting (1) and HbA1c (2): Under 100 mg/dL normal, 100–125 prediabetes, 126+ diabetes (ADA, 2024); 101 million Indian adults have diabetes (ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet, 2023). Anaemia distorts HbA1c — read it with the CBC. Vitamin B12 (1): 47–70% of Indians deficient (Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006). Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) (1): Deficiency 40% to over 90% (Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014). RA Factor (1): Positive in only 70–80% of rheumatoid arthritis; a negative does not exclude it, anti-CCP being more specific. CRP (1): Qualitative — inflammation present or absent; not hs-CRP. ## Sources NFHS-5, 2019–21 · Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013;17(4):647–652 · Anjana et al., ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet Diab Endo, 2023;11(7):474–489 · Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006;54:775–782 · Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014;39(4):178–184 · ADA, 2024 · AHA/ACC, 2018 · Duseja et al., Indian J Gastroenterol, 2022 Content last reviewed: October 2026

Who Should Get This Checkup?

  • Women whose cycles have turned unpredictable, or stopped – IHC- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinising Hormone and Prolactin are the first blood tests ordered for this. The FSH/LH ratio feeds a PCOS assessment, a persistently high FSH suggests declining ovarian reserve, and raised prolactin is a common cause that responds to medication. Thyroid disease produces the same symptom and is measured here — Indian women are hypothyroid about three times as often as men (Unnikrishnan et al., Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2013). Note your cycle day at collection.
  • Women who are tired all the time and bleed heavily – Heavy menstrual bleeding is the commonest route to iron-deficiency anaemia in Indian women, and over 50% of women aged 15 to 49 are anaemic (NFHS-5, 2019–21). The CBC, Iron Studies and Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination together establish whether anaemia is present, whether iron is the cause, and what the red cells actually look like under a microscope. Thyroid, B12 and vitamin D are covered in the same draw.
  • Women planning a pregnancy – This covers the blood work a gynaecologist usually asks for first: FSH, LH and Prolactin for ovulatory function, TSH for thyroid, Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy), Vitamin B12 and a full CBC with Iron Studies. Over 50% of Indian women aged 15 to 49 are anaemic (NFHS-5, 2019–21), and correcting iron and B12 before conception is worth the months it takes. Estradiol and AMH are not included; your doctor may add them.
  • Daughters booking for a mother or mother-in-law at home – In multi-generational Delhi households the older woman is usually the one whose checkup is never convenient, and the trip to a collection centre is the reason. A home visit removes it. Her results also carry a Delhi-specific caveat worth knowing: through the October-to-January smog season many residents cut outdoor walking sharply, reducing sun exposure and vitamin D synthesis, and Indian deficiency prevalence already runs from 40% to over 90% (Ritu & Gupta, Indian Journal of Community Medicine, 2014).
  • Women past 35, or with ovarian or breast cancer in the family – CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker is included, and it is worth knowing exactly what it does. It is a screening aid: it rises in endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic infection, pregnancy and menstruation, and many early ovarian cancers do not raise it at all. A family history of ovarian or breast cancer is a reason to discuss surveillance and genetic counselling with a gynaecologist, which no blood panel replaces.
  • Women around the menopausal transition – A persistently high FSH with irregular cycles is consistent with the menopausal transition, and this panel measures it. It also covers what shifts at that stage and needs watching: the Lipid Profile, where LDL and Non-HDL cholesterol typically rise, fasting glucose and HbA1c (ADA Standards of Care in Diabetes, 2024), and thyroid function. Bone density needs a DEXA scan, which is imaging and in no blood package.

How to Prepare

Fasting: 10 hours overnight. Water is allowed and helps — a hydrated vein is an easier draw. No tea, coffee, juice or milk. Cycle day: Book day 2 to 5 if you can, counting the first day of bleeding as day 1. FSH and LH are read against early-follicular reference ranges, and a mid-cycle sample can show a normal LH surge that looks high. If your periods are irregular or absent, book any day and tell the team, and your doctor will interpret accordingly. Timing: A 7 to 10 AM slot is best. Prolactin is highest during sleep and the early hours, so a rested morning sample avoids a falsely raised value. TSH also follows a daily rhythm. Before a prolactin test: No breast or nipple stimulation and no breast examination in the previous 24 hours. Sit quietly for 15 to 20 minutes before the draw. Stress, sleep deprivation and several medicines — some antipsychotics, antiemetics and acid-reducing drugs — raise prolactin, so list what you take. Medications: Continue prescription medicines unless your doctor says otherwise. Stop biotin supplements 48 hours before; biotin interferes with thyroid and hormone assays. Declare hormonal contraception, fertility medication and hormone replacement therapy, all of which change FSH, LH and prolactin. Alcohol: None for 48 hours. Exercise: nothing strenuous for 24 hours, since hard activity raises creatinine, uric acid and CRP. Pregnancy: CA125 is raised in pregnancy. If you are pregnant or might be, say so at booking. Two people at one address: Add both during booking and ask for a single slot. Home collection: Free across Delhi — Lajpat Nagar, Defence Colony, Greater Kailash, Saket, Malviya Nagar, Kalkaji, Hauz Khas, Vasant Kunj, New Friends Colony, Nehru Place, Okhla and Jasola. Reports: Digital within 24 hours, all 96 parameters with reference ranges and flagged abnormals.

What Is Included — and What Is Not

Included: 96 parameters, 19 components 8 profiles: Complete Blood Count (CBC) + ESR (21), Complete Urine Analysis (17), Liver Function Test (12), Kidney Function Test (12), Lipid Profile (9), Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination (5), Iron Studies (5), Thyroid Profile (3). 11 individual tests: HBA1c with average blood glucose (2), Blood Glucose Fasting (1), Vitamin B12 (1), Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) (1), RA Factor (1), CRP qualitative (1), Prolactin (1), IHC- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) (1), Luteinising Hormone (1), Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) (1), CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker (1). Sample: Blood and urine, single draw. Fasting: 10 hours. Reports: 24 hours. Gender: Female. Home collection: Free across Delhi. ## Not included The CRP here is qualitative, so there is no number to follow across repeat tests — the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports one in mg/L. Also absent: Amylase, Lipase and CA19.9, the three pancreatic tests the Comprehensive Health Checkup for Women adds; Estradiol, AMH, testosterone, DHEAS and 17-OH progesterone, which a gynaecologist may add in a PCOS or fertility workup; a pelvic ultrasound, which is how PCOS and ovarian masses are actually assessed; beta-hCG for pregnancy; hs-CRP for cardiac risk; Anti-CCP for rheumatoid arthritis; urine microalbumin or ACR for early diabetic kidney damage; haemoglobin electrophoresis or HPLC for thalassemia trait; a Pap smear or HPV test for cervical screening; a mammogram or any breast imaging; a DEXA scan for bone density; and colonoscopy, which is what screens for bowel cancer. A tumour marker here is a screening aid. CA125 and CEA cannot confirm or rule out cancer by themselves — that takes a doctor's assessment and usually imaging, which no blood test replaces.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Advanced Full Body Checkup for Women in Delhi

What is included in the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Women?

96 parameters across 19 components: Complete Blood Count (CBC) + ESR (21), Complete Urine Analysis (17), Liver Function Test (12), Kidney Function Test (12), Lipid Profile (9), Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination (5), Iron Studies (5), Thyroid Profile with TT3, TT4 and TSH (3), HBA1c with average blood glucose (2), Blood Glucose Fasting (1), Vitamin B12 (1), Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy (1), RA Factor (1), CRP qualitative (1), Prolactin (1), IHC- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) (1), Luteinising Hormone (1), Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) (1) and CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker (1).

How much does the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Women cost in Delhi?

It starts from 1999 in Delhi. Home sample collection and digital reports are included in that figure, with nothing added at checkout. Book online or on WhatsApp.

What does the Comprehensive Health Checkup for Women add over this one?

Exactly three tests, all pancreatic. The Comprehensive Health Checkup for Women holds everything here — all 96 parameters, hormones and tumour markers included — plus Amylase - Serum, Lipase - Serum and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker, taking it to 99 parameters across 22 components. Amylase and Lipase are pancreatic enzymes that screen for pancreatitis; CA19.9 is a pancreatic tumour marker. Nothing else differs, so with no abdominal symptoms this package covers the same ground for less.

Should I book this or the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor?

That package has 91 parameters across 14 components and is open to all genders. This one is the same screen with five tests for women added: Prolactin, IHC- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinising Hormone, Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) and CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker. One point runs the other way. The CRP in that package is quantitative, a number in mg/L you can follow across repeat tests, whereas the CRP here is qualitative, positive or negative only. If a trackable CRP figure is what your doctor asked for, that package does it and costs less.

What do FSH, LH and Prolactin actually tell me?

Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinising Hormone (LH) are released by the pituitary gland and drive the ovarian cycle; Prolactin is the hormone of lactation, which suppresses ovulation when it is raised. Together they are the standard first-line panel for irregular or absent periods, suspected PCOS and the start of a fertility workup. The FSH/LH ratio contributes to a PCOS assessment, with LH often high relative to FSH, while a persistently high FSH points instead towards declining ovarian reserve or the menopausal transition.

Which day of my cycle should I book for?

Day 2 to 5, counting the first day of bleeding as day 1. The reference ranges used for FSH and LH are early-follicular ones, so a sample drawn mid-cycle can show an LH surge that is entirely normal yet reads as high against them. Tell the phlebotomist your cycle day so it reaches the laboratory on the requisition. If your periods are irregular or absent, book any day and say so — your gynaecologist will read the result in that context.

Can a raised Prolactin be treated?

Usually, yes, and that is the main reason to measure it. Raised prolactin suppresses ovulation and is a common cause of irregular or absent periods, sometimes with milky nipple discharge. It is also pushed up by things that are not disease: stress, sleep deprivation, a recent breast examination or nipple stimulation, and several medicines including some antipsychotics, antiemetics and acid-reducing drugs. A mildly high value is normally repeated under rested morning conditions. A persistently high one is investigated for a pituitary cause and often responds to tablets.

Does a raised CA125 mean I have ovarian cancer?

No. CA125 is a screening aid, not a diagnosis, and in women without symptoms it has a meaningful false-positive rate. It rises in endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, pregnancy and ordinary menstruation, all far more common than ovarian cancer in women under 50. Around half of early-stage ovarian cancers do not raise CA125 at all, so a normal result is not reassurance by itself. Persistent bloating, pelvic pain, early satiety or a change in bowel habit needs a gynaecologist and a pelvic ultrasound whatever the number says.

What does the CEA test detect?

Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) is a protein used mainly to monitor colorectal cancer that has already been diagnosed, rather than to find it in people without symptoms. Smokers run higher baseline levels as a rule, and CEA also rises in inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, cirrhosis and chronic lung disease. A normal CEA does not exclude bowel cancer. Colonoscopy, or a faecal immunochemical test, is what screens for colorectal cancer, and neither is part of this package.

Is the CRP in this package a number or just positive and negative?

Positive or negative. The CRP here is qualitative: it indicates whether inflammation is present and gives no value in mg/L, so it cannot be compared across repeat tests to show whether inflammation is rising or settling. If your doctor wants a trackable CRP value, the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports CRP quantitatively in mg/L and costs less than this package. Neither is hs-CRP, the high-sensitivity assay used for cardiovascular risk.

What is the Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination and why does it matter for women?

It is a manual microscopic examination of your blood. A qualified pathologist prepares a slide from your sample and reads it by hand, reporting five findings: Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Platelets, Hemoparasites and a written Impression. It matters particularly for women because over 50% of Indian women aged 15 to 49 are anaemic (NFHS-5, 2019–21), and a CBC alone says only that haemoglobin is low. Small pale cells point to iron deficiency, large cells to B12 or folate deficiency, sickle-shaped cells to sickle cell disease. It also detects blast cells that may indicate leukaemia, malarial parasites inside red cells, and platelet clumping that an automated counter misreads as a dangerously low platelet count.

Do cheaper health checkup packages include a Peripheral Smear?

Most do not. It is the only component here that no analyser can produce: a qualified pathologist has to prepare and read each slide individually, which is skilled manual time rather than machine time, so it is the usual line item cut to hold a price point. Across Delhi NCR the Hemoparasites finding is the practical argument for keeping it, since dengue, malaria and chikungunya circulate every monsoon and the slide is checked directly for parasites inside red blood cells. When weighing packages with similar parameter counts, look for a Blood Picture or Peripheral Smear profile by name.

How long do I need to fast before this checkup?

10 hours overnight. Water is allowed and encouraged; no tea, coffee, juice or milk during the fasting window. The fast is needed for the Lipid Profile and Blood Glucose Fasting. Stop biotin supplements 48 hours beforehand, as biotin interferes with thyroid and hormone assays. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Continue prescription medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and declare hormonal contraception, fertility medication or hormone replacement therapy, all of which change FSH, LH and prolactin results.

Which parts of Delhi do you collect samples from?

Free home collection across Delhi, including Lajpat Nagar, Defence Colony, Greater Kailash, Saket, Malviya Nagar, Kalkaji, Hauz Khas, Vasant Kunj, New Friends Colony, Nehru Place, Okhla and Jasola, and the rest of the city on request. A trained phlebotomist collects the blood and urine samples at your door in one visit. Pick a 7 to 10 AM slot: prolactin is lowest after a night's rest and TSH follows a daily rhythm.

Can one home visit cover two women in the same house?

Yes, and in Delhi it is a common booking. Add each person during booking and ask for a single slot; the phlebotomist draws both samples on the same visit and each woman gets her own report. If one of you is on a specific cycle day for FSH and LH, say so at booking, since that person's timing is the one that matters. For a man in the household, the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men carries Testosterone Total and PSA instead of the female hormones and CA125.

Does Delhi's smog season affect anything in this report?

Not directly — nothing in this package measures air pollution or its effects, and no result should be read that way. There is one honest connection. Through the October-to-January smog season many Delhi residents cut outdoor walking and exercise sharply, which reduces sun exposure and therefore vitamin D synthesis, so a low Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) in February is unsurprising; Indian deficiency prevalence already runs from 40% to over 90% (Ritu & Gupta, Indian Journal of Community Medicine, 2014). The ESR and the qualitative CRP report general inflammation, which has many causes and cannot be attributed to air quality.

How quickly will I get the report?

Digital reports arrive within 24 hours of sample collection. All 96 parameters come with reference ranges and flagged abnormal values. If you have earlier results on HealthVas, the report includes trend tracking, which is useful for haemoglobin, thyroid and the hormone values, since cycles and treatment move them over time.

Is the laboratory NABL-accredited?

Yes. Your sample is processed at a NABL-accredited laboratory in our network. NABL accreditation is granted to individual laboratories after evaluation of their equipment, processes and personnel. It is not a company-wide certification, and HealthVas does not claim to hold accreditation itself.

Why Book on HealthVas?

The price on the page is the price you pay. Home sample collection and digital reports are not billed separately. Every sample is processed at a NABL-accredited laboratory in our network. NABL accreditation (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) is granted to individual laboratories after evaluation of their equipment, processes and personnel — it is not a company-wide certification, and HealthVas does not claim to hold it. Two things here are unusual at this parameter count. The Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination is read by a qualified pathologist under a microscope rather than counted by an analyser, which is how parasites, abnormal cell shapes and clumped platelets get caught — and it earns its place in a country where over half of women aged 15 to 49 are anaemic. And the hormone and tumour-marker results are published with their limits attached: FSH and LH read against cycle day, prolactin against rested conditions, and CA125 and CEA as screening aids with many non-cancerous reasons for a raised value. We will also point you at a cheaper package when it fits better. The CRP in this one is qualitative; if you need a CRP number to follow over time, the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports it quantitatively in mg/L and costs less. If two women in the household are testing, ask for one morning slot. Free home sample collection across Delhi, digital reports within 24 hours, booking online or on WhatsApp.
