One question settles whether to book this: do you have a reason to test your pancreas? Three tests separate it from the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men, and all three are pancreatic — Amylase - Serum and Lipase - Serum, the enzymes that rise when the pancreas inflames, and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker. Everything else is the same 94 parameters: CBC with ESR, Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination read by a pathologist, Liver and Kidney Function, a 9-marker Lipid Profile, Complete Urine Analysis, Fasting Glucose, HbA1c, Thyroid Profile, Iron Studies, Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy), Vitamin B12, RA Factor, CRP, Testosterone Total, PSA and CEA. 97 parameters in one draw. If regular alcohol, gallstones, upper abdominal symptoms or very high triglycerides are part of your picture, those three tests are relevant; if not, the Advanced version is the same panel for less. The tumour markers here are screening aids a doctor interprets alongside symptoms and imaging, not verdicts. Processed at a NABL-accredited laboratory. From 2500. Free home collection across Delhi — Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar, Connaught Place, Laxmi Nagar, Preet Vihar, Rajouri Garden, Janakpuri and Mayur Vihar.

What Does This Package Screen For?

At a Glance

Package: Comprehensive Health Checkup for Men. Tests: 97 parameters, 20 components. Price: From 2500. Fasting: 10 hours. Sample: Blood and urine, single draw. Reports: 24 hours, digital. Home collection: Free across Delhi. Lab: NABL-accredited. Honestly: this is the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men plus exactly three tests — Amylase - Serum, Lipase- Serum and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker, all three pancreatic. The other 94 parameters are identical, so the only question is whether you have a pancreatic reason to test; if not, the Advanced version covers the rest. The CRP in both is qualitative — positive or negative, with no figure; for a CRP value you can follow over time, the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports it quantitatively in mg/L and costs less than either. ## The three pancreatic additions Amylase - Serum and Lipase- Serum are digestive enzymes made by the pancreas, and both rise when it inflames; Lipase is more pancreas-specific and stays raised longer. They are the standard blood tests for acute pancreatitis — severe upper abdominal pain boring to the back with vomiting, a hospital matter the same day, not a routine report. A mildly raised amylase in a well person often has a benign cause. CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker needs most care. It is a tumour marker: a screening aid a doctor interprets alongside symptoms and imaging, never alone. It is commonly raised in benign biliary and pancreatic disease — gallstones, bile duct obstruction, cholangitis, chronic pancreatitis, cirrhosis — and jaundice of any cause pushes it up. Its established use is monitoring pancreatic cancer already diagnosed, not finding it in people without symptoms. It also has a hard biological limit: 5 to 10% of people are Lewis-antigen negative and cannot produce CA19.9 at all, so their result stays undetectable even with cancer present. A normal value does not exclude cancer; a raised one does not confirm it. ## Testosterone, PSA and CEA Testosterone Total screens for hypogonadism — fatigue, low libido, reduced muscle mass, low mood. Draw it between 7 and 10 AM, since testosterone peaks early and an afternoon sample can read low in a normal man; a low value is confirmed with a repeat morning sample plus free testosterone or SHBG. Prostate Specific Antigen - PSA (Total) and Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) carry the same caveat as CA19.9: a doctor reads them with your symptoms and examination, a raised value usually has a non-cancerous cause, and a normal value does not exclude cancer. PSA climbs with benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis, urinary infection, even a long cycle ride or recent ejaculation. CEA runs higher in smokers; colonoscopy, not CEA, screens bowel cancer. ## Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination A qualified pathologist spreads a slide, reads it under a microscope and reports Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Platelets, Hemoparasites and a written Impression — skilled manual time, which is why price-led packages drop it. A CBC says haemoglobin is low; only the slide says the cells are small and pale (iron deficiency), large (B12 or folate deficiency) or sickle-shaped (sickle cell disease). The pathologist also spots blast cells pointing to possible leukaemia and clumped platelets an analyser reports as dangerously low. Under Hemoparasites the slide is checked for malarial parasites — worth having across Delhi NCR every monsoon. ## Booking this in Delhi Among Delhi's trading and business families the day runs long, meals land late and heavy, and business dinners involve alcohol — a pattern that bears on the liver, triglyceride and pancreatic markers here. ## The Other 13 Components CBC with ESR (21): Anaemia, infection, inflammation. Liver Function (12): SGOT/SGPT plus GGT, the earliest alcohol marker, and alcohol is a leading cause of pancreatitis; NAFLD affects 30–40% of urban Indian adults (Duseja et al., Indian J Gastroenterol, 2022). Kidney Function (12): Creatinine, GFR and uric acid. Lipid Profile (9): Non-HDL cholesterol predicts risk better than LDL alone (AHA/ACC, 2018); very high triglycerides themselves cause pancreatitis. Complete Urine Analysis (17): Proteinuria, glycosuria, infection — not microalbuminuria, which needs a separate microalbumin/ACR test. Blood Glucose Fasting (1) and HbA1c (2): Under 100 mg/dL normal, 100–125 prediabetes, 126+ diabetes (ADA, 2024); 101 million Indian adults have diabetes (ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet, 2023). Anaemia and haemoglobin variants distort HbA1c — read it with the CBC. Thyroid Profile (3): One in ten Indian adults is hypothyroid (Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013). Iron Studies (5): Separates iron deficiency from chronic-disease anaemia; thalassemia trait needs Hb electrophoresis or HPLC. Vitamin B12 (1): 47–70% of Indians deficient (Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006). Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) (1): Deficiency 40% to over 90% (Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014). RA Factor (1): Positive in only 70–80% of rheumatoid arthritis; a negative does not exclude it, anti-CCP being more specific. CRP (1): Qualitative — inflammation present or absent; not hs-CRP. ## Sources Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013;17(4):647–652 · Anjana et al., ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet Diab Endo, 2023;11(7):474–489 · Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006;54:775–782 · Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014;39(4):178–184 · ADA, 2024 · AHA/ACC, 2018 · Duseja et al., Indian J Gastroenterol, 2022 Content last reviewed: October 2026

Who Should Get This Checkup?

  • Men deciding between this and the Advanced version – Start here, because the difference is narrow and real. Three tests separate the two packages — Amylase - Serum, Lipase - Serum and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker, all pancreatic. Every other parameter is the same. If nothing in your history points at the pancreas, the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men gives you the identical 94 parameters for less, and we would rather say so than sell you the larger number.
  • Men who drink regularly, or have had gallstones – Alcohol and gallstones account for most pancreatitis, and this is the package that measures the pancreatic enzymes. It also carries the liver markers that belong beside them: GGT, the earliest marker of alcohol-related liver injury, with SGOT and SGPT. NAFLD affects 30–40% of urban Indian adults (Duseja et al., Indian Journal of Gastroenterology, 2022), and fatty liver and alcohol frequently sit together in the same report.
  • Men with recurring upper abdominal discomfort – Persistent pain high in the abdomen, discomfort that worsens after oily food, or pain that bores through to the back are what Amylase and Lipase get ordered for. Two limits matter. Severe acute pain with vomiting is an emergency for a hospital the same day, not a home checkup. And mild symptoms with normal enzymes still need a doctor, usually with an ultrasound, which no blood test replaces.
  • Shopkeepers and traders on long, irregular days – In older parts of Delhi the working day stretches late, meals happen when there is a gap, and the heaviest one is often at night. That pattern drives triglycerides, fasting glucose and liver enzymes — all measured here — and very high triglycerides are themselves a cause of pancreatitis. Non-HDL cholesterol, reported in this Lipid Profile, predicts cardiovascular risk better than LDL alone (AHA/ACC Guideline on the Management of Blood Cholesterol, 2018).
  • Men past 50, and men with months of unexplained fatigue – Prostate Specific Antigen - PSA (Total) is the standard blood screen as prostate enlargement and prostate cancer become common, and Testosterone Total is the first-line test for hypogonadism — fatigue, low libido, lost muscle, low mood. Both are read with care: PSA rises for many non-cancerous reasons and a normal value does not exclude cancer, and testosterone needs a 7 to 10 AM draw to mean anything.
  • Men with diabetes in the family or a borderline sugar report – Fasting glucose and HbA1c together catch what either misses alone. Fasting under 100 mg/dL is normal, 100 to 125 is prediabetes, 126 or above is diabetes (ADA Standards of Care in Diabetes, 2024), and India has 101 million adults with diabetes (ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, 2023;11(7):474–489). New-onset diabetes in an older man with weight loss also deserves a doctor's attention in its own right.

How to Prepare

Fasting: 10 hours overnight. Water is allowed and helps — a hydrated vein is an easier draw. No tea, coffee, juice or milk. Timing: Take a 7 to 10 AM slot. Testosterone peaks in the early morning and falls through the day, so a late sample can read falsely low. TSH follows a daily rhythm too. Late working hours: Finish eating by about 10 PM and pick the earliest slot available. A late, heavy, oily dinner raises triglycerides for hours and can distort the Lipid Profile even after a technically correct fast, so choose a day that follows an ordinary evening. Alcohol: None for 72 hours if you can manage it, and 48 hours at minimum. Alcohol affects GGT, liver enzymes, triglycerides and glucose, and it can raise pancreatic enzymes. Before a PSA test: No ejaculation and no long-distance cycling for 48 hours. Mention any recent urinary catheter, prostate examination or urinary infection — each raises PSA. Samples: One venous blood draw and a midstream urine sample in the same visit. All 20 components run off that single collection. Medications: Continue prescription medicines unless your doctor says otherwise. Stop biotin supplements 48 hours before, since biotin interferes with thyroid and hormone assays. Declare testosterone gels or injections, anabolic steroids, and any medicine that can raise amylase. Exercise: Nothing strenuous for 24 hours; hard activity raises creatinine, uric acid and CRP. If you are in pain right now: Severe upper abdominal pain with vomiting is not a case for a home checkup. Go to a hospital — acute pancreatitis is diagnosed and treated the same day. Home collection: Free across Delhi — Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar, Connaught Place, Laxmi Nagar, Preet Vihar, Mayur Vihar, Rajouri Garden, Janakpuri, Vikaspuri, Uttam Nagar and Najafgarh. Reports: Digital within 24 hours, all 97 parameters with reference ranges and flagged abnormals.

What Is Included — and What Is Not

Included: 97 parameters, 20 components 8 profiles: Complete Blood Count (CBC) + ESR (21), Complete Urine Analysis (17), Liver Function Test (12), Kidney Function Test (12), Lipid Profile (9), Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination (5), Iron Studies (5), Thyroid Profile (3). 12 individual tests: HBA1c with average blood glucose (2), Blood Glucose Fasting (1), Vitamin B12 (1), Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) (1), RA Factor (1), CRP qualitative (1), Testosterone Total (1), Prostate Specific Antigen - PSA (Total) (1), Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) (1), CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker (1), Amylase - Serum (1), Lipase - Serum (1). Sample: Blood and urine, single draw. Fasting: 10 hours. Reports: 24 hours. Gender: Male. Home collection: Free across Delhi. ## Not included The CRP here is qualitative — positive or negative, with no number to follow across repeat tests. The Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports CRP quantitatively in mg/L. Also absent: free testosterone and SHBG, the usual follow-up to a low total testosterone; LH and FSH, which separate testicular from pituitary causes of low testosterone; an abdominal ultrasound or CT, which is how the pancreas and biliary tree are actually imaged; liver fibrosis assessment; hs-CRP for cardiac risk; Anti-CCP for rheumatoid arthritis; urine microalbumin or ACR for early diabetic kidney damage; haemoglobin electrophoresis or HPLC for thalassemia trait; AFP, CA125 or other tumour markers; cardiac markers such as Troponin or NT-proBNP; colonoscopy or a faecal immunochemical test, which are what screen for bowel cancer; and all imaging — no ECG, X-ray, ultrasound or MRI. The three tumour markers here — Prostate Specific Antigen - PSA (Total), Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker — are screening aids. None of them confirms or rules out cancer; that takes a doctor's assessment with imaging, and sometimes a biopsy. CA19.9 carries one further limit: 5 to 10% of people are Lewis-antigen negative and cannot produce it at all, so their value stays undetectable regardless of disease.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Comprehensive Health Checkup for Men in Delhi

What is included in the Comprehensive Health Checkup for Men?

97 parameters across 20 components: Complete Blood Count (CBC) + ESR (21), Complete Urine Analysis (17), Liver Function Test (12), Kidney Function Test (12), Lipid Profile (9), Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination (5), Iron Studies (5), Thyroid Profile with TT3, TT4 and TSH (3), HBA1c with average blood glucose (2), Blood Glucose Fasting (1), Vitamin B12 (1), Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy (1), RA Factor (1), CRP qualitative (1), Testosterone Total (1), Prostate Specific Antigen - PSA (Total) (1), Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) (1), CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker (1), Amylase - Serum (1) and Lipase - Serum (1).

How much does the Comprehensive Health Checkup for Men cost in Delhi?

It starts from 2500 in Delhi. Home sample collection and digital reports are included in that figure, with nothing added at checkout. Book online or on WhatsApp.

What exactly does this add over the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men?

Three tests, and only three. This package holds everything in the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men — all 94 parameters — plus Amylase - Serum, Lipase - Serum and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker, which takes it to 97 parameters across 20 components. All three concern the pancreas: Amylase and Lipase are pancreatic enzymes that screen for pancreatitis, and CA19.9 is a pancreatic tumour marker. Nothing else is different. With no pancreatic reason to test, the Advanced version covers the same ground for less.

Is this package worth the extra money?

Only if you need the pancreas tested, and we would rather you decided than be sold the bigger number. Three tests separate the two: Amylase, Lipase and CA19.9. If you drink regularly, have had gallstones, get recurring upper abdominal discomfort or carry very high triglycerides, those three are relevant and this is the right choice. If none of that applies, the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men gives you the identical 94 parameters for less.

What do the Amylase and Lipase tests detect?

Both are digestive enzymes made by the pancreas, and both rise when it is inflamed. Lipase is the more pancreas-specific of the two and stays raised longer, which often makes it the more useful. They are the standard blood tests for acute pancreatitis, which presents as severe upper abdominal pain boring through to the back, usually with vomiting. Amylase also rises with salivary gland disease, reduced kidney clearance and some medicines, so a mildly raised value in someone without symptoms often has a benign explanation such as macroamylasaemia.

Does a raised CA19.9 mean I have pancreatic cancer?

No. CA19.9 is a tumour marker, which makes it a screening aid a doctor interprets alongside your symptoms and imaging, never a result to read on its own. It is commonly raised in benign biliary and pancreatic conditions — gallstones, bile duct obstruction, cholangitis, chronic pancreatitis and cirrhosis — and jaundice from any cause pushes it up. Its established clinical use is monitoring pancreatic cancer already diagnosed, not finding it in people without symptoms. A normal value does not exclude pancreatic cancer and a raised value does not confirm it.

Can CA19.9 be normal in someone who has pancreatic cancer?

Yes, and in one group it is always undetectable. Between 5 and 10% of people are Lewis-antigen negative, meaning their body cannot produce CA19.9 at all, so their result stays undetectable whether or not disease is present. Beyond that, early pancreatic cancer frequently fails to raise the marker. A normal CA19.9 is therefore not an all-clear: persistent upper abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, new diabetes or jaundice needs a doctor and imaging whatever the report says.

Are the three tumour markers here reliable for cancer screening?

They are screening aids, not diagnostic tests. PSA, CEA and CA19.9 all carry meaningful false-positive rates in people without symptoms, and all three can be normal when cancer is present. Each is interpreted by a doctor alongside your symptoms, a physical examination and, where indicated, imaging or endoscopy. Treat a raised result as a reason for a consultation rather than a diagnosis, and a normal result as one data point rather than reassurance.

What does the Testosterone Total test detect, and when should it be drawn?

It measures total circulating testosterone and screens for hypogonadism — persistent fatigue, low libido, erectile difficulty, loss of muscle mass and strength, low mood and poor concentration. Draw it between 7 and 10 AM, because testosterone follows a daily rhythm peaking in the early morning, and an afternoon sample can read low in a man whose level is normal. A low result is confirmed with a repeat morning sample plus free testosterone or Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG), since most testosterone is protein-bound and SHBG shifts with obesity, thyroid disease and liver disease.

Does a raised PSA mean I have prostate cancer?

No. Prostate Specific Antigen is produced by prostate tissue in general, not by cancer specifically. The usual non-cancerous explanations are benign prostatic hyperplasia, the age-related enlargement behind a weak stream and night-time urination, prostatitis, urinary infection, a recent catheter or prostate examination, and even recent cycling or ejaculation. A normal PSA equally does not exclude prostate cancer. A raised value means seeing a urologist, who may repeat it after treating an infection, examine the prostate, or order free-to-total PSA or MRI.

Is the CRP in this package a number or just positive and negative?

Positive or negative. The CRP here is qualitative: it says whether inflammation is present and gives no value in mg/L, so it cannot be compared across repeat tests to show whether inflammation is rising or settling. If your doctor wants a trackable CRP number, the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports CRP quantitatively in mg/L and costs less than this package. Neither is hs-CRP, the high-sensitivity assay used for cardiovascular risk assessment.

What is the Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination?

It is the one component here no analyser can produce. A qualified pathologist prepares a slide from your sample, reads it under a microscope and reports five findings: Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Platelets, Hemoparasites and a written Impression. A CBC can say haemoglobin is low; only the smear says the cells are small and pale, which points to iron deficiency, large, which points to B12 or folate deficiency, or sickle-shaped, which indicates sickle cell disease. It also detects blast cells that may indicate leukaemia and platelet clumping that an automated counter misreads as a dangerously low platelet count.

Why is a Peripheral Smear missing from so many packages at this price?

Because it cannot be automated. Every other test here is machine-run, but a smear needs a qualified pathologist to prepare and examine each slide by hand, and that is skilled manual time rather than machine time — so it is the line item quietly dropped when a package is built to a price. Across Delhi NCR the Hemoparasites finding is the practical reason to keep it: the slide is examined directly for malarial parasites inside red blood cells, and dengue, malaria and chikungunya circulate every monsoon. Check any package's test list for a Blood Picture or Peripheral Smear profile by name.

How long do I need to fast before this checkup?

10 hours overnight. Water is allowed and encouraged; no tea, coffee, juice or milk during the fasting window. The fast is needed for the Lipid Profile and Blood Glucose Fasting. Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours, since it affects GGT, triglycerides, glucose and pancreatic enzymes. Stop biotin supplements 48 hours beforehand. Avoid ejaculation and long-distance cycling for 48 hours before a PSA test, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Continue prescription medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise.

My shop or business keeps me out until late — how do I manage the fast?

Finish eating by about 10 PM, drink only water after that, and take the earliest morning slot you can. That gives the 10 hours the Lipid Profile and Blood Glucose Fasting need, and it also puts the draw inside the 7 to 10 AM window when testosterone is at its daily peak. One practical warning: a late, heavy, oily dinner raises triglycerides for hours, so a meal at midnight and a draw at 8 AM can distort the Lipid Profile even if you technically fasted. Pick a day after an ordinary evening.

Which parts of Delhi do you collect samples from?

Free home collection across Delhi, including Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar, Connaught Place, Laxmi Nagar, Preet Vihar, Mayur Vihar, Rajouri Garden, Janakpuri, Vikaspuri, Uttam Nagar, Najafgarh and Punjabi Bagh, and the rest of the city on request. A trained phlebotomist collects the blood and urine samples at your door in one visit. Take a 7 to 10 AM slot so testosterone is drawn at its daily peak.

Can one visit cover me and my father at the same address?

Yes. Add each person during booking and ask for a single slot; the phlebotomist draws both samples on the same visit and each person gets his own report. It is worth doing in a shared household, since the older man is usually the one whose checkup keeps being postponed because of the trip to a collection centre. For a woman in the family, the Comprehensive Health Checkup for Women is the matching panel, with female hormones, CA125 and CEA in place of Testosterone and PSA.

How quickly will I get the report, and is the laboratory NABL-accredited?

Digital reports arrive within 24 hours of sample collection, with all 97 parameters carrying reference ranges and flagged abnormal values, and trend tracking if you have earlier results on HealthVas. Your sample is processed at a NABL-accredited laboratory in our network. NABL accreditation is granted to individual laboratories after evaluation of their equipment, processes and personnel; it is not a company-wide certification, and HealthVas does not claim to hold accreditation itself.

Why Book on HealthVas?

The price on the page is the price you pay. Home sample collection and digital reports are not billed separately. Every sample is processed at a NABL-accredited laboratory in our network. NABL accreditation (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) is granted to individual laboratories after evaluation of their equipment, processes and personnel — it is not a company-wide certification, and HealthVas does not claim to hold it. We would rather describe our own catalogue accurately than sell the largest number on it. This package is the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men plus three pancreatic tests — Amylase, Lipase and CA19.9. With no pancreatic reason to test, the Advanced version is the same 94 parameters for less. And the CRP in both is qualitative; if your doctor wants a CRP number to follow over time, the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports it quantitatively in mg/L and costs less than either. The Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination here is read by a qualified pathologist under a microscope rather than counted by an analyser, which is how parasites, abnormal cell shapes and clumped platelets get caught. And the three tumour markers — PSA, CEA and CA19.9 — are published with their limits attached, because markers like these have real false-positive rates in people without symptoms and CA19.9 is undetectable in the 5 to 10% of people who are Lewis-antigen negative. Free home sample collection across Delhi. Digital reports within 24 hours. Book online or on WhatsApp.
