Straight answer: this is the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Women plus exactly three tests — Amylase - Serum, Lipase- Serum and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker, all pancreatic. The other 96 parameters are identical, so without a reason to test the pancreas the Advanced version covers the same ground for less. The CRP in both is qualitative — positive or negative, not a number; for a trackable CRP value, the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports it quantitatively in mg/L and costs less than either. ## The three pancreatic additions Amylase - Serum and Lipase- Serum are enzymes made by the pancreas that rise when it is inflamed; Lipase is more pancreas-specific and stays raised longer. They are the standard blood tests for acute pancreatitis — severe upper abdominal pain boring to the back with vomiting, a same-day hospital matter, not a routine report. Gallstones are the commonest cause in women. Amylase also rises with salivary gland disease and reduced kidney clearance, so a mildly raised value without symptoms often has a benign explanation. CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker needs the most care here. It is a tumour marker: a screening aid a doctor interprets with symptoms and imaging, commonly raised in benign biliary and pancreatic disease — gallstones, bile duct obstruction, cholangitis, chronic pancreatitis, cirrhosis — and in jaundice of any cause. Its established use is monitoring pancreatic cancer already diagnosed, not detecting it in people without symptoms. It also has a hard limit: 5 to 10% of people are Lewis-antigen negative and cannot produce CA19.9 at all, so their value stays undetectable even with cancer present. A normal result does not exclude cancer; a raised one does not confirm it. ## FSH, LH and Prolactin — the ovulatory hormones IHC- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinising Hormone and Prolactin are the first-line panel for irregular periods, suspected PCOS and fertility workup. FSH and LH drive the ovarian cycle; the FSH/LH ratio is part of a PCOS assessment, LH often high relative to FSH, while a persistently high FSH points to declining ovarian reserve. Raised Prolactin suppresses ovulation and is a common, treatable cause of irregular or absent periods. Cycle day decides the interpretation: FSH and LH are conventionally drawn on day 2 to 5, counting the first day of bleeding as day 1, because the reference ranges are early-follicular, and a mid-cycle sample can show a normal LH surge that reads high — so tell the collection team your cycle day. Prolactin rises with stress, sleep deprivation and several medicines, so a mildly high value is repeated under rested morning conditions. ## CA125 and CEA CA125 - Ovarian Cancer marker and Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) are screening aids, not answers. CA125 rises in endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic infection, pregnancy and menstruation; CEA in smokers and bowel inflammation. A raised value usually has a non-cancerous cause and a normal value does not exclude cancer, so a doctor reads both with your symptoms, examination and imaging — persistent bloating or pelvic pain needs a gynaecologist and a pelvic ultrasound whatever the number says. ## Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination The one component no analyser produces. A qualified pathologist prepares a slide from your sample and reads it under a microscope, reporting Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Platelets, Hemoparasites and a written Impression — manual pathologist time, and the line item packages drop to hold a price point. Over 50% of Indian women aged 15–49 are anaemic (NFHS-5, 2019–21), and a CBC says only that haemoglobin is low. Cell shape says why: small pale cells mean iron deficiency, large cells B12 or folate deficiency, sickle-shaped cells sickle cell disease. The pathologist also catches blast cells suggesting leukaemia, platelet clumping an analyser reports as a dangerously low count, and malarial parasites under Hemoparasites — relevant in Delhi NCR. ## The Other 13 Components CBC with ESR (21): Anaemia, infection, inflammation. Iron Studies (5): Separates iron deficiency from chronic-disease anaemia; thalassemia trait needs Hb electrophoresis or HPLC. Thyroid Profile (3): Indian women are hypothyroid three times as often as men, 15.86% vs 5.02% (Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013) — itself a cause of irregular cycles. Liver Function (12): Fatty liver and alcohol-related damage; NAFLD affects 30–40% of urban Indian adults (Duseja et al., Indian J Gastroenterol, 2022). Kidney Function (12): Creatinine, GFR, urea, uric acid. Lipid Profile (9): Non-HDL cholesterol predicts risk better than LDL alone (AHA/ACC, 2018). Complete Urine Analysis (17): Proteinuria, glycosuria, infection — not microalbuminuria, which needs a separate microalbumin/ACR test. Blood Glucose Fasting (1) and HbA1c (2): Under 100 mg/dL normal, 100–125 prediabetes, 126+ diabetes (ADA, 2024); 101 million Indian adults have diabetes (ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet, 2023). Anaemia distorts HbA1c, so read it with the CBC. Vitamin B12 (1): 47–70% of Indians deficient (Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006). Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) (1): Deficiency 40% to over 90% (Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014). RA Factor (1): Positive in only 70–80% of rheumatoid arthritis; a negative does not exclude it. CRP, qualitative (1): Inflammation present or absent; not hs-CRP. ## Sources NFHS-5, 2019–21 · Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013;17(4):647–652 · Anjana et al., ICMR-INDIAB, Lancet Diab Endo, 2023;11(7):474–489 · Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006;54:775–782 · Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014;39(4):178–184 · ADA, 2024 · AHA/ACC, 2018 · Duseja et al., Indian J Gastroenterol, 2022 Content last reviewed: October 2026
