The honest description: this is the Advanced Full Body Checkup for Men plus exactly three tests — Amylase - Serum, Lipase- Serum and CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker, all pancreatic. The other 94 parameters are identical, so with nothing pointing at the pancreas, the Advanced version covers the rest for less. The CRP in both is qualitative — positive or negative, no figure; for a trackable number in mg/L the Comprehensive Full Body Checkup with CRP & RA Factor reports it quantitatively and costs less than either. ## If Your Work Is Physical, Read the Kidney Function Test Carefully Three values here move with how hard your body worked in the day or two before the draw. Creatinine is a breakdown product of muscle metabolism and sustained exertion raises it transiently; uric acid rises the same way; and strenuous activity raises CRP too. The standard 24-hour no-strenuous-exercise instruction assumes a gym session you can skip. If your work is lifting, loading or machine work, you cannot skip it, and a creatinine or uric acid flagged high on a Monday report may be describing Saturday's shift rather than your kidneys. So give the sample after your longest gap from physical work, and tell your doctor what it involves and when you last worked a full shift. The Kidney Function Test reports 12 parameters including creatinine, urea, eGFR and uric acid, and gout is a genuine finding in its own right: a high uric acid is not automatically an artefact, just a number needing its context recorded. Testosterone Total adds its own timing problem: it peaks early and is drawn between 7 and 10 AM, inside your working day if the shift starts at six, so take a home slot before you leave or on a day off. ## The Three Pancreatic Additions Amylase - Serum and Lipase- Serum are pancreatic digestive enzymes that rise when the pancreas inflames; Lipase is more pancreas-specific and stays raised longer. They are the standard blood tests for acute pancreatitis, which is a same-day hospital matter rather than a routine report. CA19.9 - Pancreatic Cancer Marker is a tumour marker: a screening aid a doctor interprets alongside symptoms and imaging, never alone. It is commonly raised in benign biliary and pancreatic conditions — gallstones, bile duct obstruction, cholangitis, chronic pancreatitis, cirrhosis — and by jaundice. It also has a hard limit: the 5 to 10% of people who are Lewis-antigen negative cannot produce it at all, so their value stays undetectable even with cancer present. A normal value does not exclude cancer; a raised one does not confirm it. Prostate Specific Antigen - PSA (Total) and Carcino Embryonic Antigen (CEA) read the same way — PSA rises with benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis and recent cycling or ejaculation, CEA runs higher in smokers, and colonoscopy screens for bowel cancer. ## Blood Picture - Peripheral Smear Examination Ninety-six of these parameters are numbers; one finding is a sentence written by a person. This profile reports Red Blood Cells, White Blood Cells, Platelets, Hemoparasites and a written Impression — a qualified pathologist's own words on what the slide showed. No analyser produces it, so the cost is pathologist time — the line item dropped to hold a price point. The Impression is where the CBC gets explained. Low haemoglobin with small pale cells means iron deficiency; large cells mean B12 or folate deficiency; sickle-shaped cells mean sickle cell disease. The pathologist also records blast cells suggesting leukaemia and clumped platelets an analyser returns as a dangerously low count. Hemoparasites looks for malarial parasites, endemic alongside dengue in Delhi NCR. ## The Other 13 Components CBC with ESR (21): anaemia, infection, inflammation. Liver Function Test (12): SGOT, SGPT, GGT; NAFLD affects 30–40% of urban Indian adults (Duseja et al., 2022). Lipid Profile (9): Non-HDL cholesterol beats LDL alone (AHA/ACC, 2018); very high triglycerides cause pancreatitis. Complete Urine Analysis (17): protein, glucose, infection — not microalbuminuria, which needs a separate ACR test. Blood Glucose Fasting (1) and HbA1c (2): under 100 mg/dL normal, 100–125 prediabetes, 126+ diabetes (ADA, 2024); anaemia distorts HbA1c, so read it with the CBC. Thyroid Profile (3): TT3, TT4, TSH; one in ten Indian adults is hypothyroid (Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013). Iron Studies (5): iron deficiency versus chronic-disease anaemia; thalassemia trait needs Hb electrophoresis. Vitamin B12 (1): 47–70% of Indians deficient (Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006). Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy) (1): deficiency 40% to over 90% (Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014). RA Factor (1): positive in only 70–80% of rheumatoid arthritis; a negative does not exclude it, anti-CCP being more specific. CRP (1): qualitative — present or absent, not hs-CRP. ## Sources Unnikrishnan et al., IJEM, 2013;17(4):647–652 · Yajnik et al., JAPI, 2006;54:775–782 · Ritu & Gupta, IJCM, 2014;39(4):178–184 · ADA, 2024 · AHA/ACC, 2018 · Duseja et al., Indian J Gastroenterol, 2022 Content last reviewed: October 2026
