Test: Blood Grouping (A B O) and Rh Type. Result: A, B, AB or O, with Rh positive or negative. Price: From 100. Fasting: Not required. Sample: Blood, in an EDTA (lavender-top) tube. Reports: Within 12 hours, digital. Home collection: Available across Noida; any charge is shown at booking. Lab: NABL-accredited. ## What the Result Means Blood group is decided by markers on the surface of red blood cells. The ABO system gives four groups: A, B, AB and O. The Rh factor is a separate marker; if present you are Rh positive, if absent Rh negative. A full result reads like "B positive" or "O negative". Your blood group does not change during your life, so one reliable report is usually enough. ## Why It Matters Blood group matters for transfusion, surgery and delivery, and many jobs and sports forms ask for it. The Rh factor is especially important in pregnancy. If the mother is Rh negative and the baby is Rh positive, doctors may plan an anti-D injection to protect the next pregnancy. Knowing your Rh type early lets your doctor plan. ## A Report Is Not a Cross-Match A hospital always re-checks blood group and cross-matches before any transfusion, whatever your report says. Your report is for planning, forms and peace of mind. It does not replace the hospital's own testing. ## Easy to Book Around Shifts A large share of Noida's workforce is on shift patterns in IT parks, call centres and logistics. The test needs no fasting and no preparation, so the sample can be collected at home in the evening or after a night shift. Reports are digital, which is handy when you need to upload a blood group to a college, employer or hospital portal. ## What Is Not Included This test gives blood group and Rh type only. It does not include antibody screening, a Coombs test, haemoglobin, a Complete Blood Count or any infection test. Your doctor will tell you if more is needed. Content last reviewed: October 2026
