Glucose - Random Blood Sugar

A random blood sugar (RBS) test measures the level of glucose in the blood at any time of the day, regardless of the last meal. Most blood sugar tests require fasting or continuous monitoring; however, this test is performed randomly and is commonly used for diabetic patients. The RBS test is performed to confirm the presence of hyperglycemia and to help in the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes mellitus.
