Uric Acid Serum

The uric acid test is a blood test used to measure the level of uric acid in the blood. Uric acid produced by the body is normally filtered by the kidneys and excreted in the urine. Sometimes, the body produces excess uric acid or the kidneys do not eliminate enough of it, leading to elevated blood uric acid levels, which may cause gout, kidney stones, or kidney dysfunction.
